"Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.  They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.  In a loud voice they sang, 'Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!'"
-Revelation 5:11-12

What a weekend!
Family Fest a success

fishing Thanks for a great Family Fest this year!  It brings our staff so much happiness to see hundreds of people gathered in fellowship.  Thanks especially to Naomi Schmidt and Pastor Roger Riedel (Bible study leaders), Cassie Payne and the Hands 2 Grow puppet troupe, Stephen Bautista (concert leader), Vollraths, Seidels and Kasprzaks (volunteers extraordinaire), and our SALT and Junior staff for keeping everything running smoothly.

Please join us next year!  The dates are back to "normal" for 2010, meaning that the festival once again falls on Father's Day weekend - June 18-20.
A place in the choir
CD is released

CD cover The new CD is finally out!  It's called "A Place in the Choir" and features 17 camp favorites.  10 of the songs are Camp Phillip originals, so you'll hear them nowhere else.  The CD is a great resource for classrooms and a terrific gift for kids.  Pick up your copy in the store, or order online by clicking the link below.
Come on out!
There are lots of reasons to visit

summer camp There's still lots of room this summer!  Almost half of the summer camps are full, but you can still find room somewhere!  Or bring your family and stay for the weekend in our campground.  In case you forgot to mark it on your calendar, remember that we added 3 Christian concerts to our summer schedule.  They're free and open to the public.  The dates are June 26, July 25, and July 31.

So, who wants a boa constrictor?
Soco looking for a home

Soco Some of you may remember staff member Keith Hackbarth's boa constrictor Soco, who spent several summers in our nature center.  Keith has been teaching in the Dominican Republic for a few years and isn't going to be able to keep his pet any longer.  If you'd like to adopt a perfectly friendly boa, let Keith know!  You can email him at keithhackbarth@hotmail.com.
