Spring field trips

May has been a little crazy here at Camp Phillip.  We're in the middle of a 30-day stretch in which we have 30 groups, retreats or trips booked.  That's a lot!  Most of them are overnight groups, so every staff member is involved in one way or another.  Thankfully, a few of our 2011 SALT staff have arrived early to lend a hand, and of course Richard is working overtime in his volunteering efforts as well.  They are leading programs and helping in the kitchen...a true God-send!

We have truly enjoyed the groups this spring.  The kids and chaperones have been outstanding, and it's a joy to work with them.

P.E. students experience adventure-based education

MLC visits the ropes course

This May we were privileged to host some P.E. students from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN.  They came to experience adventure-based education and to learn more about leading and facilitating it in their future schools.  It was really a joy to work with so many future called workers.

Professor Gronholz says, "Thanks for a great experience.  We had a diverse group of students at camp with each track being represented.  I think every one of them had a positive experience and each one commented on how they had a chance to leave their comfort zone and grow, and to meet new friends."

It's a Grand time
Join us August 7-10!

Grand camp
Grandparents, bring your grandchildren for a great opportunity to share moments and create memories. We offer a camp that's designed to give you what you truly value: quality, Christian time with your grandkids. Form a meaningful relationship with camp counselors, who will lead you in a wide variety of activities that are designed to be enjoyed together - plus there's some free time to enjoy camp on your own.

Lunch will be provided as part of the registration fee. You may stay in our campground, cabins, or even a nearby hotel if you prefer. We'd love to see you here!

Summer's almost here!
It's about time

summer camp
Winter lasted for what seemed like an eternity, and we're not quite sure spring ever came. But it's water under the bridge...summer's almost here! We kick it off with an almost full campground for Memorial Day weekend and we don't take a break until the middle of August.

It's not too late to register for a plethora of camps. Family camps have a few openings here or there, and most summer camp weeks still have a few spots open. So get those registrations in! The link below has all the forms you need, and you can contact us with any questions or to make campground reservations.
