Family Fest approaches
Spend Father's Day at a great family camp!

Mike Westendorf

Family Fest is this weekend, and we've got a little space left so get those registrations in!  If you want to make a campground reservation, call 920-787-3202.  Or perhaps you'd like to stay at a nearby hotel and join us for the programs.  If so, check out this list for some recommendations.

In addition to the MANY programs and acts we have planned, we're happy to welcome back Mike Westendorf and his band.  Mike is a storyteller at heart with an ability to draw an audience into the songs and the moments they describe. Whether performing in an intimate gathering as an acoustic solo artist or rocking out on the mainstage at Lifest, this WELS artist cares about sharing the experience of hope and joy in Jesus Christ through the music, crafting music that helps people focus on the journey of life with Jesus. Mike is the director of music at our WELS campus ministry "The Point of Grace" and is artist in residence at Hope Lutheran in Oconomowoc. Mike's latest CD "Undefined" was released in March with Nashville based Creative Soul Records in Nashville, TN. For more information please find him at www.mikewestendorf.com.

Summer camp is underway
Junior Staff kicks off a great summer

jr staff

100 teens showed up for Junior Staff training on Sunday, and we're officially underway.  It's impossible to describe the energy and the enthusiasm that they bring.  Our SALT staff is excited to get started, and excited to meet the hundreds of children that will visit over the next couple months.

If you're thinking it's too late to register for camp, you're wrong!  It's true that a bunch of the camps are full, but there are lots of spots open, too.  We have full-week camps, half-week camps, family camps, etc.  Make Camp Phillip a part of your summer!

Date corrections
Women's retreat and Unfinished Projects retreat are switched

switch One of the mailings we sent out recently had some incorrect dates for the Women's retreat and the Unfinished Projects retreat in October.  The posters, online calendar, etc all have it listed correctly.  The Women's Unfinished Projects retreat will be held September 30-October 2, and the Women's retreat is scheduled for October 7-9.  Sorry for the error!

Mission offerings
A HUGE help for our ministry

smilesAs you consider what missions to choose in your elementary schools and high schools for the upcoming school year, consider Camp Phillip! A large portion of our operating budget each year comes from school and church gifts. They make a big impact on the amount of work we're able to do each year.

If you'd like to take a collection, or designate your gifts for a quarter or semester, we'll be happy to come and lead a chapel service for you. It's a great opportunity for us to get in front of the kids and show them what camp is all about, and it's a great way to say thank you! To request a visit or some promotional items, please email office@campphillip.com or call 920-787-3202. Thank you! You are a blessing.
