Camp Phillip could not exist without its volunteers. Without a full-time Maintenance Director, maintenance projects are left to volunteers or our year-round staff when they have time. With 9 vehicles (plus lawnmowers, weed trimmers, chain saws, etc.), 18 buildings and 177.5 acres, there’s always something that has to be done. We can always use help in three different areas: buildings maintenance, vehicle maintenance and grounds upkeep/landscaping.
Whether you help to repair our picnic tables or rebuild a tractor, paint a room or plant a flowerbed, build a boat rack or build up a road, your help is sincerely appreciated and benefits thousands of people each year.
While volunteers are welcome at camp any time, there are certain weekends in the spring and fall that are set aside as Work/Woodcutting weekends. Free lodging on Friday and Saturday nights is available for the Work weekenders who need it. Saturday meals and Sunday breakfast are also free. Please check the Events calendar for dates.
Summer camp adult volunteers
Summer camp adult volunteers help in positions such as health care director, food service staff, crafts supervisor, maintenance staff and groundskeeper. If necessary, lodging may be able to be arranged. You will find the Adult volunteer application form and Adult health form on the Document downloads page under "Summer camp forms".
Summer RV volunteers
Summer RV volunteers help us with a variety of work projects such as office work, housekeeping, maintenance and groundskeeping, while enjoying the great outdoors. RV volunteers will be expected to work six hours a day, with two days off per week. Camp Phillip will provide a campsite with water and electrical hookups free of charge for your RV during your volunteer time. You can sign up for one or more sessions of two week blocks of time from May through September.
To volunteer or to receive more information on volunteering, please contact the camp office at 920-787-3202 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
